Top Ten Famous Poker PlayersThis list is not necessarily ranked by degree of fame. It was compiled by the Top Texas Holdem editing team and by opinions polled from poker players of varying levels. Johnny MossMoss was largely responsible for the development of high stakes poker in Las Vegas, in addition to being the prototypical poker professional. Johnny Moss is known as the "Grand Old Man" of poker. He has won the World Series of World Championship three times. Johnny ChanRising to international recognition with his WSOP main event victory in 1987, and again in 1988, Johnny Chan continues to be one of the most recognized names in poker. He was immortalized in the movie "Rounders" as he played himself as the best poker player in the world. Thuan "Scotty" NguyenNicknamed "The Prince", Scotty took part in a huge number of tournaments and walked out with cash more than a hundred times. It is clear now why this guy is a real poker millionaire and his prize money are among the best results in the whole world. Doyle BrunsonNicknamed "Texas Dolly", Doyle has 8 WSOP bracelets to his name and has already been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
